Only mission i cant win using this build is the 3 tiger missions. easy too (nothing offense to those saying lu bu is hard, i feel im cheating him, but you can see the power of ice mage build is unbalanced, i tried 99+ times using any other builds). I still enjoying wolong, just finish ng+ with the ice mage build, the last dragon boss is one of the easier one using this build, lu bu is. nothing special, team ninja always bad at story telling, never had any expectations □ the balance is the worst reason why i hate it, and it ruins the entire game. im extremely bad at deflecting, might be less than 50% success rate, the game became very punishing without efficient deflecting capabilities, but if you do, the game is super easy. Regarding the major game play, the ice magic mage build is the only one not solely relies on deflect, all other builds are heavily deflect dependent. I hope they continue releasing patches to enhance those areas, and i still have high hopes the dlc will be making it better. there are so many small places that could be better, from game play, menu, weapon customization, storage, and many more. I'm seeing Wolong as an unfinished product. □ this, (i had 1700hr on nioh 2, and finished with most punishing difficulty, no kodama, penance +9, depths 30) Honestly, I'd just recommend that you skip this game entirely and play NIOH 2 which is far better. You'll find cooler set pieces in NIOH 2's main campaign. Graphically, the game isn't winning any awards as most of the levels are uninspired. Definitely AVOID relying on them during boss fights as you'll be setting yourself up for inevitable failure. When I first started playing, I would always rush to revive my companions only to find myself getting smacked around. They added an AI mechanic, which was amazing to me but I soon found out that the AI is TERRIBLE! Your companions basically stand there and take hits, and since they are tied to your morale rank they can easily be dispatched if you're lower ranked at the beginning of a mission. In this game, that's seemingly non existent. It kept me organized and allowed me to develop a system that made getting rid of weaker/unwanted items much better. In Nioh 2 sorting through the menu was a bother, but you could at least lock sets of gear and rapidly delete gear you knew you wouldn't want. That is one of the mechanics that really set Team Ninja games apart from other souls-like games.Īnother terrible change that frankly has only gotten worse is the equipment menu. Nioh 2 made it in such a way where you could invest in and create beautiful combinations of attacks through a skill tree which was seemingly removed in Wo Long. Upon playing this game, I could already see the changes that I would hate in the game.įor one, THERE ARE NO COMBOS! All you can do is spam the X/Square button, plus 2-3 other combos. I didn't think that they could manage to make a worse game than something that a few years ago that I loved from the very beginning. Low and behold, after playing this game for only a few hours of playing Wo Long, I can only say that I am highly disappointed. I wanted to play an updated and mechanically better Nioh 2. Also, doing some research on the game (reading and watching reviews, articles, etc) and seeing a fair amount of praise I felt like it'd be a great idea to get the game. I was more than ecstatic to play Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty when I heard Team Ninja was creating a new IP. I have maxed out at level 750+ after spending countless hours playing the game over two years, and it is one of, if not, my favorite game of all time.
